Just before the wallpaper would normally appear and start showing the icons on the startup page, I get a blue screen error. "A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C1692B4C." If I click 'any key' to continue the screen just goes black and stays black. The disk activity light stays on.

Blue screen startup
The blue screen appears after the windows98 logo and my McAfee VirusScan has loaded. I press a key, but nothing happens so I have to hit ctrl-alt-del to reboot again. I've never encountered this problem therefore I have no clue what would be triggering this blue screen to appear at reboot.
